Hey Russ, I was fishing Conway back in the pre-spawn the day after a cold front came in and shut them down, and fished all morning, and then it hit me... what the heck, try that Crappie Pro thing, broke out a white and yeller tube, and nothing for almost an hour... then trimmed off the top and bottom of the tail, and HANG ON BOYS!!! There's something to that CP style on Conway, I tell you what!

Thanks for the confirmation LM. The trimmed double stinger midsouth tube is deadly in shallow stained to clear visable cover vertical jigging situations. Cold or dead of winter jigging, and on hot late summer/early fall days here on Conway around those cypress trees shade.

CMJ after fishing with you on Conway. I can say this... you got it man. Your a good fisherman who can handle the stumps of Conway and bring dinner home. There are only a few who I know on here I would tip my hat to... who can fish Conway and catch them in the summer. CMJ, Crappie Greg, Conway, Midsouth man and each of these guys have put allot of time on this lake to scratch out a mess in the summer months of Conway. I think every one of them will tell ya Conway is a tuff summer lake to fish, but you can put some decent days together if you get out there and get with it. Guys Conway's early fall tree bite is about to explode and I am going to be there when it happens. Stay tuned.

Nice mess Russ! And yes, When I drive 3 1/2 hours down to your lake I trim my tail. 3 years ago when I met you in the pool you showed me how to fish a jig under a cork. Why would anybody do anything else than what you say. You have also helped me on a lake I had never seen much less fished and we limited every day with your help. Hope to see you this fall with Hawgdawg and catch some of those Conway monsters.

I was also taught the jig trimming trick by CP. I'm a single pole jig only guy and I can tell a difference esp when bite is tough.
