    Default AGFC Boat

I wish the AGFC would put one of these on every lake in Arkansas. They could man the thing with a couple of convicts on work release and build a ton of condos in a short ammount of time. They better hide this one from Jerry and Darryl or those two will be hot wireing the thing and sinking condos before they know it.

That is sweet. I bet Darryl and Jerry could work something out with them, but they might have to give up some coordinates along the way. :D
    I think I got one...

That's a sweet rig. You could make some gigantic brushpiles with that. With the weight, they'll have a hell of a time trying to move it between lakes. I can just imagine Gooch setting it up on a nightstalk, and dumping a couple of poor drunk saps out of the front of it.

Well, I'd better get back to studying. With about 17 more hours of studying, I'll be ready for my test at 1pm tomorrow. I know, I know...it'll be worth it later on, but it sure sucks right now...

    Default I wonder

Some of the previous comments on this thread have made me think again. How come there is not a crappie club in our part of the world? I hate to bring the subject up because I was the president of the Propeller Club in Little Rock and I killed it. What got me to thinking about this mainly is the work being done by bass clubs on Conway. Us crappie fellers could pool our resources and labor for the good of our way of thinking too.
In South east Texas they have the Bayou City (??) club. I see where they have tournements on this sight and Texas forum.
But, I also hear that the fishing is great on Lake Houston. I bet they had a lot to do with that.
I don't know what else it would be good for. But, it looks to me that Jerry and Darryl go through quite a bit so the crappie camps will be succesful. They could probably use some help from a crappie club.

( PS ) I know better than to suggest something. It usually ends up with more work when I do it on the job. Remember, I have already admitted to killing one club.

A few of us have kicked the idea of forming a crappie club arround but havent got it done yet. In fact I called and spoke with several crappie.com guys who head up there respective clubs and got some good info from them. I would be interested in it but dont want to head it up myself. CEB from the board and I have talked about it several times and were thinking we could start small and have some nightstalking rodeos in the central arkansas area and just get some of the crappie.com guys out to meet and greet each other and kick it arround. The main thing I think we need is a leader and a get toghether that involves fishing. Any ideas or leadership would be appreciated.

What are your thoughts on how to best get the ball rolling?

Yeah, I've gotten a good look at the fish habitat barge on Lake Greeson. It has dual outboard motors able to pull large trees off the bank. It has a huge winch if needed. And, as you saw in the picture, the front half of the barge raises up to dump brush. The only problem is I think they're afraid they're going to scratch it. Hardwood brush is good but I still prefer the bamboo.

Now if a semi-truck load of boo, buckets, quikcrete and blocks were delivered to the ramp along with the convict work crew or a dozen crazy crappie fishermen, we could get more done in a day or two with that thing than Jerry and I do in 3-4 months. (I only say a few months because I do work with the Angry Beaver and he do luv to sink bamboo!!!)

Hey! I need that boat and Jerry and Darryl to hook me up. They don't need that boat at Kirby. They have bamboo kid down there.

I would say we need to establish a need first. Looks like their is plenty of comaradary in this sight already. One thing I have learned about clubs...they can get like a Baptist church and one group gets mad at the other. I have had experience with both; sometimes it is funny to me. I guess that is why I stayed in trouble with it.
But, I have seen missed oportunities that a bunch of people working together could have made a difference.
Let's kick it around some more at the CC.
