Default Don't Ever Go Nightstalking With Gooch

Everyone, I just want to warn you now, don't ever go nightstalking with Gooch. You start late in the evening, fish all night and don't go back in till it's light again the next morning. The number of fish you catch can vary from trip to trip but let me tell you -- HE'LL FEED YOU TILL YOU BLOW UP!!! Yep, you read it correctly, he cooks right there on his nightstalking barge. We had Beer, Beans and Brauts for supper (boy did I pay for it the next morning - I did mention something about blowing up didn't I, anyway) and sausage and pancakes for breakfast.

Well, I hope ya'll get a good laugh over this one. Had a great time Dale. The next one we'll have to do on Hamilton, Greeson or maybe even DeGray (we're getting more and more bush in everyday there). We'll get some pictures we can post next time.

Had a great time the other night. I'll tell you one thing, I wasn't hardly worth a dam yesterday. Maybe next time we should do a little more fishing and a little less entertaining.:D Darryl, sorry we didn't get to send you off yesterday morning. I didn't think about you heading out from the marina. Had a great time. I hope that I can make it again, and soon. Here's a couple of pics that I snapped. Too bad the batts were running out and I couldn't get more. I probably could have gotten some blackmail material.
P.S. There's nothing better than gettin' a couple of hours sleep on the boat, and waking up to a little bass tappin' on the pole.

I can't think of an uglier group of fellars. Kinda glad I was takin the pic instead of in it.:D

And DINNER. It was awesome to eat that good out on the lake.

Darryl since I am not a guide like yourself I cant make my crew the promise that we will catch dinner like you do. The only promises I make are good fun, food an felowship in a beautiful setting and I think we came thru in flying colors in those catagories. Since I started nightstalking like we do it sure takes the sting out of not catching many when you get well fed and a soft bed.

I sure am sorry about your intestinal difficulties. I think they may be related to a overdose of medication (wild turkey) or possibly you got the brat that I was turning with the pliers used to clean off the battery and take the hook out of that catfish. I went and bought some tongs today so we wont have that probem next time. Just be glad I dont provide food like the South Carolina boys do. I think all they eat is pickeled eggs on there stalks and those mixed with the improper meds can cause serious problems.

I cant wait till we get to do another stalk. You know you are welcome to my toon anytime with or without me. Theres a hidden key on board and a full tank of gas just waiting on ya. Maybe you can even get old man Blake to stay out past his bedtime and join us next time. I could even do a light menu for him at dinner with oatmeal for brekfast.

    Take care

Shadow you just bring you and your welcome on the toon anytime. You better leave them shrimp at home though. Dont want my crew to get used to eatin seafood. Its bad enough I have to keep some of em from eatin the bait anyway.

It sure would be a good time to have us a cajun on board. I know you would love it just to be able to fish all night and not get skeeter bit. Not to mention fishing a lake surrounded by mountians bigger than a rice levey. My toon is Coast Guard rated for 26 people or 4 cajuns so get you a few of those boys off the LA board and come on up anytime.

Take care and thanks for the pics

It was a good time. Afterwards as it worked out, I drove straight from Ouachita to DeGray and built 4 more crappie condos and sunk some. Got back home about the same time I had left it the day before. This old man can't do them 24 hour things any more. It sure made be sleep good that night.

I do believe them boys are smarter than the ones that stay at a Holiday Inn Express! They are certainly a lot more entertaining

Looks like the friends and accomodations were top notch!
