The only time I seem to need to adjust my hi teks is when I switch from fishing by myself up front to adding another person. And I'm so slow it takes me a minute everytime to figure it out... "Why are my rod tips underwater??...oh yeah last time I was by myself, this time both seats up front are ful"...and vice versa. Now I just kinda split the difference and never really adjust at all. Helps that I have 2 sets for front and 2 more for stern. I like hi teks like they are.. No knobs for me. Hope this helps, Brad
