Found out that all you have to do is add a couple EXTRA hours drive time, travel a little farther and see some new water. David (Blue Thunder) and me took the kids (Atticus, age 7 and Eli, age 2) to Sardis to get in on the crankbait action. With good information from Handicrappie we were able to find the fish quickly and "whacked and stacked" for a few hours! Atticus and I woke up at 2:30 am and picked David and Eli up in White Hall before driving over to Sardis. We finally started fishing around around 8:00 and had as many as four fish on at once out of the six rods we had out. We wound up keeping 35 but probably culled around fifteen more. I started out with the idea that it was a 12 inch limit when it was actually an 11 inch limit on legal fish. Here are some pics. Have you ever seen a seven year old handle an 18 foot wally marshall??? Atticus was doing it like a pro and I was very proud of him. Total drive miles today was 438.....Was it worth it?? You better believe it!!!!! <*{{{><

Good job with the kids and fish catching. That's a real nice box of fish. Handi has got real good at those MS lakes. I met them coming back from a MS rip and their truck was squatting real bad. I figure it was from all the fish he removed from down there. The Mississippi folks should give Kenyon a medal for helping keep the fish from getting too over populated down there. You know they get stunted if the population gets out of control![]()

I forgot to add also that we enjoyed getting to meet a fellow .comer. We had somehow poked a hole in one of the tandem trailer tires on the way over and when we tried to change it before going home discovered that the walls of my four-way lug wrench were too thick to go around the lug nuts on the trailer. Supergooser came to the rescue and loaned us his wrench which fit perfectly and we were able to change the tire. Otherwise, it might have been a long road home, LOL! Anyway, thanks Supergooser and it was great getting to meet and talk to you.
