I have not fished it much but ones I've caught there are good fish. I only hope to catch one that big one day.

I tried to get a Mr. Baxter's contact info for a couple of weeks so that I could ask him if I could remove the otoliths for ageing. I could never get his number. If anyone catches a 3 pound + crappie and you are somewhere fairly close to central Arkansas, I would really like to get the otoliths out of your crappie for ageing (really good and rare data). Especially if the fish was caught in one of lakes in my district, D-10 (Cleburne, VanBurren, Conway, Faulkner, White, or Perry counties). I can even remove one after it is frozen, when the taxidermists starts to work with the fish.
