Go ahead and buy a pallet. If it don't work, you can always get a cat.

I thought I had just seen the most amazing crappie pic ever. I guess this is how they actually were. I was just fixing to ask about what kind of wheel chocks you used on your boat trailer, but I guess that question is answered too. Really nice mess of fish you got there.

I use cooked rice. Don't laugh it does draw catfish and lots of bait fish which pull in some crappie. Last week I caught several Crappie off a pallet stake bed I baited for Catfish.

We need this to be a "Weirdest Tricks to Catch Crappie" contest! Nimrod, what ever made you throw rice in the water? You have some in your pocket after attending a wedding or what?

I feed Catfish every year for years and look for the cheapest stuff I can buy. I had heard of cooked rice drawing baitfish to a brush pile years ago. I had the chance to buy a ton of white rice and started cooking it by the 5 gallon bucket. Been scattering 2 five gallon buckets a day.

I read an article several years ago about plungering the bottom. The dude fastened a long handle to a commode plunger and would plunger the bottom where he was going to fish. The article said it stirred the mud and simulated a bunch of fish feeding.
