    Default White River Refuge Report

I have been to Scrubgrass and Big White and had no luck since they opened the roads. Please post any other reports that any of you may have.

If you don't mind, run over to the donut palace and give us a report from there. They were real good when we came through last year. I believe that was in Dewitt.

Got a few hits on the plains but most came from the apple fritters but, watch out for the long johns they seem to cause swelling in the rear area!

My brother and I fished July 4th through 6th on the Maddox bay lakes. Every day was slow. The fish that we caught were on Upper Forked trolling blue/white jigs 4 feet deep in 8 to 10 feet of water near structure. We barely got out of the lake through the ditch because the water was falling on the 6th. Now I see that the White is dropping almost a foot a day. In my opinion, the refuge lakes are done until the fall. You may catch some trolling the main bays but the water will have to stabilize first.

The only good report I have to this point is Stinkin Bay but, now the water is to low to get across the rock dyke. Everywhere else sucks from the word I'm getting. I will keep ya'll posted.
