    Fishing Trip

Sambo, Rudd and I fish Northeast La around the West Monroe area. We are thinking we might like to try one of your lakes. Could anyone send us some information or advice? School starts real soon for us so let us know. Thanks in advance.

You can pm any of us. Jim

Are you looking to catch lots of crappie or big crappie and how far can you travel.

Good question, I would like to do both but my days of having to clean an ice chest full of fish are over. Not really interested in north Arkansas.
We just like to fish but like catching fish also. Jim

You should give lake Chicot a try , crappie will be around the docks this time of year , docks with the most shade are best , also look for docks in 8-10 fow, minnows fished with slip bobbers or jigs will both work, try fishing 5-7 ft deep, one last tip, fish the docks on the east side of the lake early mornings as the sun will not get under these docks for some time , move to the west side of the lake as the sun get straight overhead and late afternoon these docks will have the most shade, hope this helps

I stay at the Pecan Grove RV park on Chicot during duck season. I plan on taking my boat this year and fishing some during the evenings, I hear it is a good crappie lake.
