Pushing is just running your poles out the front and using enough weight to keep them pretty much vertical. 3-5 ounzes is pretty common.

Never done this, but it seems to me that if you've got a 14' or 16' pole out in front of the boat, and as much weight as Meatgetter is saying to use, the line off the pole is gonna go almost straight down, depending on the speed of the boat and depth. A crankbait on the terminal end of the leader will be a little behind the weight, but still way out in front of the boat. At least that's the way I've got it pictured. Am I missing something here.......or is that anywhere close to how it's supposed to work? Chime in here, J. W., or Meatgetter, and help us out, man!
My wife keeps saying I never listen to her....... or something like that!

Short bus is on the way around to get most of us. Sit down and be quiet, when it shows up.

OK, if the diagram is true then what is in the cooler? And who is running the boat?

Sorry, I just wanted to get in on the confusion.
