Some of the fish were around brushpiles, some were around stumps, but most just seemed to be relating the bottom. the first 7' water out from the bank. get under 6' of water all we caught were dinks. get 8' or deeper all we caught were yellow bass.

The only clear lake that i know of is down in England but you guys might want to stay away since it's infested with drum, carp, grennel and the like. There's even a good chance you'll see bass boats toolin' around with bikinis on the front and back deck... definitely a good reason to leave it to the locals

Yea buddy saturday there was a family in a party barge cruising back and forth and a ski boat full of people that went swimming out in the middle of the lake. Clearlake isnt very wide the barge was giving the brim fishermen in the small boats fits.

We found a few on Clear on Sunday. Same method, bout six feet deep on the outer edges of brush piles, using minnows. We kept 25, no big uns, just keepers. Had to cull thru a lot of dinks.
