Thread: I have joined the ranks of the Critically Insane

Great looking camper and you're gonna love it, especially after dealing with a pop up! We went down that slippery slope last year - bought the camper, then discovered the truck just didn't do well pulling it, so had to buy another truck. 3/4 ton 4x4 diesel - now, if we get the fever for a bigger camper we're still good to go!

Had to go to Benton (RV City) to get this. They carry the Cherokee (Forest River Manufacturer) who make Flagstaff and Grey Wolf, among others.

Why would you go to Greers Ferry? 90 feet deep, clear, and ain't got no fish? I didn't know you wuz a fellow Loser?????

I am, but I'm trying to gain an advantage by flying under the radar! That year I was talking about was the year 2000. Wasn't flooded then, but I have seen some mighty high water up there over the years. Had boats tie up right in front of my campsite one year. Had to launch a boat on the road as ramps were under water. Also, had to take a boat to get to the boat slip and the barge!

Oops! Looks like I misread your post about the 90 feet deep and clear! While I've not done a lot of crappie fishing on Greers Ferry, I bet Creek and a few others would disagree about there not being any fish up there! LOL

One year, many years ago when I had my Father in Law's camper (maybe 1992??) two of us were at Dierks Lake and came motoring in from fishing to find the Game Warden at our trailer. Not sure why it was him. We had about 20 crappie, not over the limit. We go up and he said "You have about 8 hours to get out of here. Water is rising fast".

Glad I wasn't in a popup then!!!

Actually, I'm going tomorrow. Secret spot. I'll tell you all about it tomorrow night. I am taking two other Losers, though they don't participate here. We should be able to triple our loserness.
