Well if it weren't for the rain I'd say with full moon out things would be right for the ol breamo's. Local lakes for us aren't too high but they are up a lil bit. I heard they was slaying the bream on Millwood which would mean the Central AR local might be a bit early but it won't be long!

Folks have been catching both bluegill and redear on Lake Conway for a couple of weeks now. Lake is also at normal pool now, so the water should be stable for some time.

I have seen several coolers full leaving the Adams Lake and Palarm Creek Accesses. Most people that I have talked to have been catching them on crickets.

Can you get to the hurricane lakes or is the water up to high?

The roads are closed in Hurricane WMA that go to the lakes. They were hopeing to have them open by this weekend but the rains we got this week, has raised the water level back up. To get up to date information on this, call the Brinkley Regional Office (877) 734-4581. I was also told that you can get up to date water levels on the AGFC facebook page. But I am not on Facebook, so I can not conform this. I was also told that if we do not get any more rain, they should be open next weekend. Call the number above to confirm though.

I am not sure right now. The last I heard, you could. I will try to find something out tomorrow and get back to you.

Shallower lakes the breams may be up and doing their thing already. By the way how high was those crickets? I heard while getting minnows other day that crickets are high this year bc of a Winter Storm that killed a bunch over round central AR or something. They are my favorite bream bait too unless you can get em on jigs
