Thread: dardenelle

Fish the dardenelle, ran into 12 crappie and one cat. I feel I would of got my limit if all my minnows didnt die by 930. I got in the waterabout 715 and used my last minnow around nine thirty. A cat got in my minnow bucket, I wonder if he pissed in it or something. Even when I sat my minnows in the water they kept dying. Anyway, I guess there absorbing those eggs. I caught a few with runny eggs. The catfish are starting to spawn.

Got to dardanelle tis afternoon. After setting camp set up didnt get to fish but about hour and a half and caught 6.

Frankthatank, spend a little money and get you a Engel minnow cooler. The 30qt will keep 2lbs of minnows alive in it and the lid latches down so that a cat can not take a leak in it. I have the 30 qt and will be purchasing a 19 qt soon. Congrats on the fish.
