Default Hey Tony. You going first or me.

I've heard of a TV show called The Biggest Loser. Is it a fishing show? Is it currently being filmed in NEAR? Did you or I make an appearance on such a program today? Are you posting up your fishing report first or me, or are we just gonna handle this by PM?

    Oh dear.

I can't be on that show. I'm sorry. I don't mean to disappoint you.

That show is for folks that eat less. I can't abide.

Well... I guess I'll go first.

The boys and I had a great day. We didn't limit out, so our LOSER status is still safe but we caught a ton of fish.

The crappie bite was fairly decent. We were catching fish regularly all day long but, the vast majority of them were not big enough to keep.

It would not be an exaggeration to say that we caught 60-70 fish between the three of us (we didn't count), however, we only kept 8. Of the 8, only 3 of them had any real size to them.

We did catch two that were 13.5" and one that was 12".

My fallback plan to fill the live well was the shell cracker bite. However, for the first time this year, of the 8-10 bream we caught, none were big enough to keep. We probably could have caught more, but the crappie bite was too enticing. We went back to chasing the paper mouths.

Yesterday underscored something I've known all along, it is who you are fishing with, not what you are fishing for that makes a day great. On that note, gentlemen, yesterday was a GREAT day!

Sounds like it was a good day. We noodled Poinsett till 3am last night and caught only one catfish. Your crappie are bigger than the catfish. We should have went to hogue.

Ok. I guess this means I will need to give my LOSER report. I must admit, I'm still a LOSER because I didn't achieve my goals. My goal for Saturday was the "grand slam". This is to catch a limit of catfish, crappie, and bream on the same day. The catfish and bream were no problem and I had both limits by 9:30am. I took a break and set in on the crappie about 10am. It was tough and they beat me like a yard dog. I hit a little bite of keepers about 4:30pm, but I was just to tired to stay with it so headed home with these few fish. Name: 005.jpg

Tony, I'm really glad you and your boys had a good day on the water! Thanks for the picture.

RCC, it's good to see you didn't get completely skunked. I promise I would have cried.

No worries, I keep a pallet handy for my own "S" outings. I'm not saying that they are that numerous mind you.

Great times had by all it seems!

Tony I am glad you and your boys had some quality time in the water! Also glad you were catching fish!

RCC way to set your goal high...you didn't achieve it but a limit of two species is extremely good. Way to catch em!
