Nothing wrong with that haul! Lots of times up on Nimrod I drop to the bottom and pick up jig a few inches in pallet stakebeds. Crappie don't always hold up in or over cover IMO. Especially on high pressure days or behind cold fronts I find them tight to the bottom. Never think there is set rules on depth on any fishing.
