A long time ago, when I was younger.... We would go to Lake Conway and DeGray and hang a lantern off a tree and fish around it. It brought bugs in and bait fish.
If I remember right, at DeGray with fished like 17 ft deep in about 25 fow under a slip cork. Find a cove with standing timber and just out in the middle of it, hang a lantern. Back off and give it a bit. Fish two poles each. One closer to light, the other on the outer edge.

Is winter over yet?
Also know of folks who fish the docks over there at night and do well.

I can't fish in my sleep. I just can't.
When I was a kid, dad used to drop a floating light in the water and we would fish all out around it. I remember catching lots of crappie. I've tried a couple of times in the last few years without much luck
Fishing under a light is a blast. Gotta get a led light academy has some really nice ones. Used to have a pontoon and it was perfect for that. May always seemed to be best, darker the moon the better.
Blevins, ill go look at academy... Are they affordable or ridiculous? I've found a couple led lights but they want like 300 bucks for them... I can't justify that for a light.
I've read post before where folks have made their own LED nite fishing lights.

The one at Academy is less than $40 if I remember right. Its got the black light on top too for your line and floater. I wanna try one.
