Default My First Contribution As An Official LOSER

Throughout the years, in my pursuit of becoming a sub-pro(politically correct version) fisherman, I have noticed that I catch a LOT more fish when I actually fish where the fish are, although this rarely happens. My favorite method for finding out where they are, is trolling aimlessly with my jigs dragging along until they get hoplessly tangled in a brush pile. At this point, I will shake said jigs violently until every Crappie in a 3 square mile area has vanished. If I am lucky, the jig will come free, rocketing out of the brush and tail-hooking a three pounder as he is fleeing, jerking him into the air and landing said three pounder squarely on the deck at my feet. This is a great method to try if you are aspiring to become a LOSER, or if you are just wanting to look like a LOSER in front of your friends. Of course, the three pounders were never documented because I dont believe in bragging.

I've found this method to be very useful too.

First of all you give the appearance that you know what you are doing while you are trolling around the lake without actually having to know anything.

Secondly, in that moment when all your jig pole tangle up in the massive brush pile, it looks -- for just a moment -- like you've discovered the mother lode of crappie as all of your jig poles dip at the same time!

Finally, when that poor three pounder that drew the short straw and had to become the sacrificial offering to your fishing prowess finally lands on the deck of your boat, you are momentarily vindicated as a true fisherman. You can now go merrily through the rest of your day with evidence in your live well that you are, indeed, a fisherman.

Never mind the fact that the rest of the fish are now safe since you will spend the remainder of the day flogging that one brush pile and cackling like the deranged man that you are...

I've seen the end of that movie. Several times.
