I love catching crappie on a jigpole and I catch my share of bass on spinning reels and love the way they both fight..but Ive got to have atleast 2 or 3 good bream trips a year at some point.Big redear on light line and a ultra light pole is definetly a blast.I will try to let you know on Hamilton beds.I dont fish it for bream only bass on occassion and actually Ill be after the crappie most of the next month or two but my buddy fishes Hamilton alot for big bluegill and he catches some giants over there and a few big redear when their spawning.Bream is a close second to crappie as far as eating in my book so all the more reason to get after em when there shallow!I will tell you this that Lake Degray has some big redear we usually catch some over around state park marina area and they love bedding in the buck brush in the coves in that area!

I caught two bull shouldered redears Wednesday on minnows while crappie fishing, that if they had weighed 3 lbs, you'd have had to have been using E Piano Wire to land 'em!

River was at 27 last i checked and more rains and crazy weather up north should have midway out of commision for a short time
He said, "Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some." When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

I hear you buckrub they remind me of smallmouth bass when they hit it you better hang on!Offdahook I fish Horsehoe alot actually going to be over there several weekends in May and June and I hear they catch alot of bream out of there.I know I always see as many bream fisherman as crappie and there usually against the bank in the woods opposite side of the piers catching them when they start bedding usually mid may through June from what Ive seen the past few years.

I've always said that if a bream got over 5 pounds he would take your rod away and beat you to death with it! I love catching those feisty little buggers!!!!!!
