I love catching crappie on a jigpole and I catch my share of bass on spinning reels and love the way they both fight..but Ive got to have atleast 2 or 3 good bream trips a year at some point.Big redear on light line and a ultra light pole is definetly a blast.I will try to let you know on Hamilton beds.I dont fish it for bream only bass on occassion and actually Ill be after the crappie most of the next month or two but my buddy fishes Hamilton alot for big bluegill and he catches some giants over there and a few big redear when their spawning.Bream is a close second to crappie as far as eating in my book so all the more reason to get after em when there shallow!I will tell you this that Lake Degray has some big redear we usually catch some over around state park marina area and they love bedding in the buck brush in the coves in that area!

I can for sure put you on some at Degray when it gets good..Ive fished that lake for years and know that lake well plus alot of my buddies bream fish it every year while Im chasing crappie..just send me a message when you plan on heading down there and Ill get you some info of what the bream are doing.I figure the next full moon will kick it off good on the bigger lakes but with this weather who know!?
Yep, that's what I'm talkin bout. Has anyone in the Marion,West Memphis area heard where they are bitin, I've been to Wapanocca, NOTHIN happining there, I mean NOTHIN I 4-5 outings not a nibble. Horseshoe gave up 5-10 crappie, one 17", 2.8lbs and a mess of catfish. Has anyone been to Burntcane or Midway lately?
I caught two bull shouldered redears Wednesday on minnows while crappie fishing, that if they had weighed 3 lbs, you'd have had to have been using E Piano Wire to land 'em!
He said, "Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some." When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

I've always said that if a bream got over 5 pounds he would take your rod away and beat you to death with it! I love catching those feisty little buggers!!!!!!
