    Crappie slow and Slabbandit told me about working overtime. I've been building brushpiles and stopped by his house a couple days ago. I'll be ready when they start. Was catching a few when the water rose on that big rain in August. Then when they let it out , the fish quit biting.

    Saw Slabbandit and the mrs out fishing today. I gave them my fish to put with theirs for a meal. The bigguns are slow only had 3 nice fish , rest were dinks. Hopefully they will pickup soon with the lower temps.:D

    Hey there everyone! Just getting back into the fishing a little more since the weather is nicer. Finding a few fish in 3.5 to 4.5 feet of water. Nothing to brag about but good eaters.

    Nimrod came by us on the lake right before we were fixing to leave to come in. I told him that we were just trying to get enough fish for a crappie lunch before I had to leave for work. He gave us 3 nice sized slabs one of which had to be pushing 2 lbs!!

    Needless to say we had plenty of fish for lunch and for me to take to work.
