Possible Line Pound State Record.
Had to share this I went to Academy Sports in North Little Rock this morning when I got off wrk. I talked to a guy an wish I had gotten his name and a pic of his catch. But he was their because he had bought a rod an reel their the day before and thought it had 4lb test line on it and he found out this morning it did. He caught a huge silver carp yesterday on the new rod/reel/line combo which was in fact 4lb test. Said he caught the massive fish in 18 inches of water on the river and fought him for over 30 minutes to tire the fish out to get him in on such light line. After I talked to him he was headed to get the huge fish weighed on official scales and to wait on a game an fish officer to get their. To verify everything and do the paper wrk to see if it is a new state line pound record for that kind of fish. I looked at his rod and it was rigged for crappy fishing with a jig. It just goes to show you that you never know what you might catch when you go fishing. This ain't a story about a crappy but I thought it was worth sharing.
