Looks like he's checking out the trolling motor to see if it,s up to spec. He probably knows all the honey holes. Let him run the tm and put your trust in the Global Positioning Squirrel.

Make sure he doesn't decide to chew on anything. I've had squirrels tear up the foam seat on top of my gun box. They tore holes through the fabric and pulled the stuffing out to make their nests with. I just re-covered it yesterday, and made a wooden box to sit on top of it while it sits in the driveway to keep them from tearing it up again.
