The last I heard they could now fly but not below 1000 ft. Maybe the waash from rotors blowing the booms around and oil over them? If you were to drive by you could see they couldn't hide anything. you can drive almost completely around the cove.
I drove by yesterday and they are making huge strides on the cove and everything else. It is amazing to me how they have been able to do it. Mayflower will be the better for it in the end.

If you saw the Dem Gazette this morning, there was a picture of the oil spill with a caption that said "Belle Slough". This is incorrect. No oil is in Belle Slough or Grassy Lake. The photographer or reporter made a mistake.

You can't over communicate in times like these! I'm thankful that D10 is helping keep us informed and helping to keep the discussion grounded in facts.

Faulty reports and rumors can cause a whole lot of unneeded angst. This situation is already bad enough without overstating the damage.

I had an opportunity this morning to sit in on an interview with Attorney General. From what he is saying, the question about oil being in the lake, is a question of semantics. Yes it is in the cove, but the cove is protected be earth dam from the lake. If you want to see interview, you can watch it on AETN, Arkansas Week. Airs tonight Friday 4-12-13 @ 8pm. After air date see it here. AETN - Arkansas Week
