Heh.. I took a few days off this week in the hope of doing some fishing. I put in at Pierce today. My intention was to skirt the bank to see if any bream had come shallow as I made my way to the 89 bridge to throw some crappie jigs there. I didn't make it very far before I decided the wave height-to-pucker-factor didn't pass the smell test. At one point, between the wind and the waves, I got put on a stump and started teetering in the waves. Granted this was only in 6 feet of water, but I wasn't too keen on getting wet and losing my gear. My trusty Tohatsu got me off the stump, at which point I said a little prayer, put on my life jacket, and puttered back to the landing.
