    Default Line in your propeller blade


    Thought i would change propellers today on my troling motor glad i did there were 2 ddiferent color lines wraped in behid the blade, better check em befor they eat uo a seal f

    It has been known to get around the prop shaft on outboards also.

    Line can damage your gearbox seals in a hurry. Theres 2 seals on the back of the prop shaft; 1 has the lip facing outward and is designed to keep water out while the other seal has a seal facing inward and is designed to keep oil in. So, water in your gearbox indicates damage to the one while low oil indicates damage to the other.

    lol Nimrod!! It's rough getting old, huh? Miss those big ole Op pictures!!

    I had to start putting Tide jugs on my cork line when I'm whup-settin'. My net repair guy thinks I need new glasses. And he thinks I sould leave my knife in my pocket and use my wrench a little more.

    Let me know when you're ready to get rid of some of those 3 1/2's. I'd be in the market.

    On mine you just unscrew prop nut and pull off. Have seen pins get bent making it a little hard to pull off.
