At the cove, 30 yards either side of the bridge, white/chart Southern Pro tube, 1/16oz jig (with added weight to keep line down with 73 knot winds), trimmed CrappiePro style, and nibbles. 10 FOW 6 feet deep... we kept 16, but caught 24 bazillion crappie.

BTW, there were 50-11 boats up there, and not many catching fish. When you caught a fish, it looked like running of the bulls with the boats running towards where you were. At 1 point I had a little trolling motor trouble, and was doing a 30 second fix. By the time I got back to the front of the boat, another boat motored up between me and the spot I had been in for 30 minutes. I still caught more than he did

Been letting the weekend warriors fight wind and falling water here. The campgrounds and boat ramp parking are full but fish cleaning stations pretty empty.

I ended up out there this afternoon too. Took my daughter out for a little quality time. We also caught a zillion dinks with a few keepers thrown in. We only caught fish when pulling minnows at a fast drift or casting jigs. They wanted it fast today, didnt see anyone else catching. LM, did you see us out there? 16' camo flatbottom, little girl in the back?

Not sure, SO MANY BOATS!!! We got outta there about 13:30. I had to really pay attention when I caught a fish to make sure I didn't drift into another boat. But It was still a fun experiance.

You are right about FAST!! Only caught fish when drifting with the wind or going up wind on 3.

That guy tied to the bridge was flat wearing them out casting jigs. Not sure if the kidos were catching, but everytime I asked them if they were having fun, they said they were.

X3 I'm sitting at work. I drove by Gold Creek on the interstate and Dan's place was over flowing with folks. I guess crappie season is officially open!

Welcome to what Conway has become, it is happening now no matter what species you fish for, I think I may take out a front page ad in the news paper ever time I catch a fish. Lol!!!!! Man that will be a lot of ads.
