Went fishing Friday with Don and man did he put me on them. We coulda had our limit by noon but we were being selective. The smallest one I cleaned was 10 1/2 inches. The biggest was 1.85 lbs and we had 18 over a pound. Fishing with Don was a great way to learn Dardanelle. I usually go to Blue Mountain but my in-laws live in Russellville so I plan on making Dardanelle my home lake. The catching was over at 1 pm or so but Don spent the next 4 hours driving me around Piney and Illinois Bayou. He showed me so many good brushpiles and a ton of ones he placed himself. Showed me where he fishes at different times of the year and what tactics he employs. Just an all around great experience! I can't say enough good things about Don and his willingness to teach me and show me ways of catching big crappie on Dardanelle.
