Having faced difficulty doing these projects before, the only thing I could come up with was to carry the instructions down to the local chinese restaurant and have someone to read them to me. When I got there, I asked the owner to read them to me and he said, "you buy mu gu gai pan and I read you directions". After I had bought and ate the mu gu gai pan, he read me 2 lines and said "you come back tomorrow and buy flied lice and I read you rest of directions". Those 2 lines got me this far. I wish I could figure out what to do next so I wouldn't need to eat chinese everyday until I get finished.

The first one is the hard one, trying to guess at the measurements and positions for the holes. The next ones will be better and easier. A drill press and band saw would be great. It would sure be easier than making a set with just hand tools. What's stupid is I don't need them.

Yes. Checked it with a B&M handle and it had a little play. Hopefully it is enough to dip and still have room. The hole is 1 3/16. May need to go to 1 1/4. That is 1 inch thick stock. 3/4 would have been easier to deal with and it would still have plenty of room to drill and tap the bottom for the adjustment bolt.
