    Default And I'm down again !!!


    Just rebuilt my lower unit last week..
    Now my shifter handle broke!
    That's what happens when you have worn out stuff ! My grandpa said "No.. That's what happens when you use your stuff"

    Anyways.. Parts are ordered, should have them in a few days!
    I'm gona avoid the "Good ole Boys" this time!

    Get what you pay for. Why pay 1/2 or more for worn out parts if you can get new ones. Besides the cost of driving in gas and grief dealing with the good olde boys trading post will cost you more in the long run.

    That's right for the most part...
    But when it comes to the gear sets in the lower units, the used ones are not worn at all, virtually brand new..
    The new ones are roughly $1000 for a complete gear set, I'll give him about $300!

    It seems like its always something with boat motors, especially when you use them constantly on lake Conway.

    New stuff or old stuff all the same my stuff tends to break from normal use you just have to fix it and go on.
