    I tried those and they were OK, and they did work alright, but with their original holders, I had a lot of slack in the rod holders with the left and right adjustment. Not with the gear, but with the rod holder bracket. The height adjuster had some slack in it also. My thumb bolts also stripped out. Might have been my fault trying to over tighten because of the slack I had.

    Their new ones are a copy of the Hi Tek.

    I'll go with my home made rod holders. I've got maybe 15 bucks max in these. Saved almost a 100 bucks to buy minners with. Have new ones on order. Will post when they come in.

    I had no idea they came out with the new ones that r just like Hi-teks.... Man o man....that's something else

    Their new ones are a copy of the Hi Tek.

    Hi-Teks are as good as the best (most expensive) and better than the rest!!!

    My take on Rod holders is there are several great brands out there and just about every one of them will serve you well.
