I dont remember my feet ever being as cold as they were yesterday. Ill bet it was close to noon before they fully thawed out and felt like they were supposed to again.
I thought Jason did a heck of a job on the entries, etc. He had entry forms printed up with Central Arkansas Crappie Association on em and they already had our name and phone number so all we had to do was hand him the entry fee and sign your name. Very professional.
Ill have to wait to give an opinion of how he handles a weigh in though.
Among a few other things thats what Im blaming it on. A week or so ago the water was 49-50. Yesterday we found some that was 38 and never found any warmer than 43.Water temps appear to have dropped about 8 degrees here. How was it over there?
We also had a front come through with alot of rain so the river was rising pretty fast.
Plus it was clear.
And high pressure.
And it was cold.
And the water was muddy.
And I didnt wear my lucky socks.
I also only had about 25 different colors of jigs with me so I never found the one they wanted.
In all seriousness though it was fun and a memorable experience. I got to meet several people from the site and Im sure I would have recognized more names but I just didnt get a chance to meet or talk to them.
I think the CACA is off to a good start and should continue to grow and do well as long as we have people willing to put the work into it like Jason and Im sure a few others did for this one.
