Haha i'm lying, I got SKUNKED!! Lol, I figured they would have a serious case of the lockjaw today. I mainly went out to add a bit more structure to the lake, cause Conway needs it ya know! So after nearly capsizing from the four foot rollers,I thought it would be a good idea to try to jig a few up. I went from one end of the lake to the other jigging docks, trees, and stumps. Came up with nothing! Well, at least I tried.

My wife keeps saying I never listen to her....... or something like that!
Can catch'em sitting in the house that for sure or at least fish that are alive that is.
Thanks for the post cmj.... Hopefully the bite will be better in the a.m.
I feel your pain I was out on the water today myself and I too went forth to sink structure. I had about the same luck course I didn't fish the whole lake all day either I guess I knew better. Where I was at today there are a few fish to be had but they are not to be had this time of the year, Spring and Summer are the times to catch em where I was today. I do miss the good crappie waters though where it doesn't matter if you can brave the elements your going to catch fish, this lake I was on today isn't one of those lakes, not enough fish for that. So you didn't sink and brush??? I sank 7 piles today, had one pile break off and go down without a rock so i'm sure it will washout and had another big cedar top lose it's rock luckily it floated til I could go so shore and score another rock to sink it. I had some water bottles I use to tie in the top where they will stand up so I thought maybe I could fill one with water and the weight would sink the top....not hardly that doesn't work. Then there was the cold wind that I think got up even more at dark as I was trying to sink my last 2 piles, it was a miserable day out there on my end too.
I was able to sink a few stake beds, but I had about the same luck as you. Its not easy to maneuver around those things in a little flat bottom, especially with the wind whipping like crazy. It got a little hairy for a minute. The concrete didnt set properly in one of my buckets, so when it hit the bottom all the wood slats came floating back up! Lol, next time I sink brush the wind will be below hurricane levels! :rofl

I've had structure dropping incidents, usually involving not enough weight. The 2 worst were a 5 gallon bucket of concrete with a zillon 15 foot pieces of boo and it floated with about 5 feet still sticking out of the water. The other was a stake bed with 2 concrete blocks not sinking.
