Tried out my new rod holder this weekend and I must say it did a good job for me. I thought it may be in the way next to the drivers seat but it wasn't. It was especially helpful during reties since it held my pole still. I left my poles in it during transport an for the first time on a long time didn't step on a single pole all trip. Maybe my cheap academy 9 ft poles will stay 9 ft for a few extra months! Also I used this ad a rod holder when fishing out I the back of my boat.

G3Troller on the Sippi board uses one at tournaments. We runs his Ranger wide open with his 16' C and C poles in it. Works good for him, if ya don't go under bridges.
