I think pre fishing should not be allowed in any tr'ment, should not be on the water no less then three weeks before t'day.

Also disagree, that gives the locals a huge advantage.

So, the next one could be on your local lake.
A person fishing t' ments should be good enough to catch nomatter what lake without pre fishing them.Plus I think all whistles and bells should be unhooked and not allowed,a map of the lake should be the only thing allowed.

I sure hope you fish some of these tourneys with us! Apparently you are real good and I could do a lot of learning from you.

It really just boils down to fishing technique......and that takes experience, period. Ten boats can be fishing the exact same spot using the same baits, speed, ect and one or two of those boats will be catching 80% of the fish, regardless who has the biggest fishfinder, biggest boat, longest rods, ect!!!!! I've seen it too many times not to believe that it is "technique" that puts fish in the boat! In a tourney everyone is on a level playing field...NO EXCUSES!! The absolute best crappie fisherman I know fishes out of a 1648 commercial F&F with tillar outboard and uses rod holders he homemade out of welding rods. He has five fully rigged boats including a 20 footer but that is what he chooses to fish out of 90% of the time. He does not use a depth finder.....he has fished every lake on the MS river from Whittington on down to N. Louisiana so many times that he could draw you a very detailed topo of any one of them. I am glad he doesn't fish tourney's cause if he did I wouldn't even bother to enter any event on Lake Washington...... that's one of the lakes where he taught me what tiny bit I know about trolling techniques........you will never see him near a crowd of boats....he'll be the lone boat 4-500 yds away in the middle steadily pullin'em in, cullin'em and pilin'em up.
