I got checked Sunday at Carpenter dam, the GW was very nice and didn't cause anybody there any issues. He even gave a couple of warnings that could have been citations, to other guys. I stand by my original statement.

The ones we have here are polite and courteous. The regular officer was off duty and the two that showed up was I believe from Perry County and a trainee that recently started in our county. There are always some that rub folks the wrong way , best thing is try to be polite and cooperative as they have a job to do. Won't help to be rude or nasty , if you have a problem contact their supervisor.

Two of us got stopped on Ark. River 4 years ago by what we now call "Frick and Frack". I think it was one guy training another newbie, but that's just a guess. They made me pull out the actual boat paperwork (the Nimrod guys said the side lettering was enough proof of registration) for registration, made me show the 'throw cushion', and asked both of us about 3-4 times each "Where do you work?" It was that last question that, when they drove off, made me mad. I wished afterwards we had said "BITE ME" to that question. We had ONE bass in the boat and he apparently measured 14.5". The limit was 15". They lectured us for a half hour. Basically, they were jerks. I regret to this day not lowering the boom on them, and not turning them in.

Haven't seen one since other than to wave driving down the road.

You could file a complaint with their captain but the most likely outcome would have ended with "our officers did not break any state laws or regs and therefore the complaint has been dismissed".

Been there done that with ole R. Spurlock a few years back. Actually filed three formal complaints with the same result.

Sounds like y'all got on his bad side. He has always been nice to me. The new fella Gillam in Pulaski county is the one you got worry about. He pulled out his plug checker and tried to right me a ticket for my plug not being long enough. I gave him 3 2 3/4 inches shells an told him he could right me a ticket if he can fit all them in the magazine. Needless to say, he couldnt put the third one in the magazine. He is a piece of work. I stay out of Pulaski just so I don't have to deal with him. The Faulkner county GW's are nice. Never had a problem with any of them. Of course, I don't do illegal activities.

I was polite, courteous, and did all that I was asked.

I should have gotten their names and filed a report on the two guys on the River, yes. I didn't. I regret that. The ones that stopped me at Nimrod, as I said, were great. I actually enjoyed talking to them. I appreciate their work.

I've been checked several times duckhunting and all have been ok except once when one of the wardens helped himself to the inside of my truck without even asking and dragged out all the stuff behind my seat looking for I don't know what. All the rest of the times have been great. I've only been checked once fishing and that was in Alabama and that guy was nice as well.
