Ok well, just keep pursuing them Conway Hogs and eventually you will be among the ones that are able to put em in the boat. If you cant catch the big ones that are there, adding more wont help you.Gin, you're still my dog though!

Cj not talking so much about you and others you name. There is 100s of other fisherman there that don't bring nice fish out. I be there days when I see buckets of small fish carried out also. How is the 10" fisherman going to shop hauling them out in buckets full if something not done. G&F stocks some fish there to bring up the numbers, why not us have bigger fish. I talk to a man one day there said he been there just after they unload them and catch 500s of the stock fish. I don't know what size the stock fish would be. I rather catch bigger fish not just not stock.
All men are created equal, some work harder in the preseason.

Everyone wants more bigger fish, but you can either have more or bigger fish...
Also, as stated, just because you don't catch big fish doesn't mean they aren't there. Keep honing your own skills (I'm trying to do the same).
Me too

The bigguns are there and im just mad this weather want let me at them. I gotta think with all the tagged fish and the nets the AGFC run that they got a handle on the fish. Its the lake level thing that I dont get.
I would like to see more 8 to 9 am visits under the 89 bridge and Pierce Creek dock..........just sayin there will probably be a few over the limit tickets written. That would put a slow down on the 5 gallon buckets of crappie.
Crappieholic.....because it IS an addiction!
Conway "reservoir" is full of bream, cats, bass, crappie... i don't see what the issue is! if i go and don't catch a limit (which is the norm) i'm not blaming the fish quality/quanity, i'm blaming myself. I can't chime in on water levels but every time i've went there was plenty of water to fish![]()

Sorry, for the slow responce on the length limit questions. I am often away from my computer and out of the office working. If you have a specific question, it would be better to call me 877-470-3309 (ext 1204) or better yet send me an email [email protected]
We have conducted a study on Lake Conway looking at the harvest of crappie on the lake. I have submitted a draft report sometime ago and I am awaiting its approval. However, I have been given permssion to distribute a draft copy. If I knew how to attach a large document to this thread, I would. If anyone is interested, send me an email and I will reply with the draft copy. The results of the study are too detailed to discuss on a forum such as this. I wouldnt want to provide a short synopsis that may lead people to jump to conclusions. With that said, I would be more than happy to send anyone a copy of the draft report. Then you can read it and you can call me to discuss the results. Thanks.

Guess they are hungry, I have given my fair share of fish away, but I don't mess with the dinks. Dinks go back so I can catch them when they are bigger someday. You end wasting more time trying to clean a little fish for little bite size nugget than you do cleaning what i consider a cleaning size fish.
