Welcome from Conway. You didn't say what town you live in but I take it you live close to Millwood. There's a member on here that lives on Millwood that you might ought to hook up with. Can't remember his name right off the bat. Maybe he'll chime in here and help us both out. I think he fishes Millwood all the time. Maybe goes by "Noslab", or something like that. Haven't heard from him in awhile. Good luck to you and hang around here and you'll learn alot from some really good crappie fishermen on this site.

Welcome Aboard from Fouke, Arkansas. I fish Millwood, Wright Patman, Erling and some local area lakes.-----Finding the Crappie is a challenge. I suggest instead of chasing them, create your own spots using brush piles and bring the Crappie to you.
Understanding their habits is very important---when to find them in the deep or shallow waters.----Myself I am a plain old fashion tight line crappie fisherman. If I fish in very shallow water--under 2 foot, than I may use a cork.
It is much easier for me to raise and lower my line instead of a cork and slip knot.
We all have our own styles we use.----I am open minded to different ways of fishing and we never get too old too learn.
