COE rules state that if you have a SPONSORED event(tournament) then you must obtain a Special Use Permit and you may not have more than the tournament limit in the boat and that all live fish shall be returned to the lake and the dead ones given to a charitable cause. A SPONSORED EVENT would seem to mean a tournament that has sponsors. i.e. Boat makers, motor makers etc. At one lake there has been a little difference of opinion on what makes a sponsor. People are working to resolve this issue so that everyone is on the same page. A Fruit Jar wouldn't seem to fall into the SPONSORED category. Time will tell.

    Default Hypothetical Tournament Question.

We had a MCC member that weighed 8 fish Saturday. They do not disqualify you for that, but make you reweigh last with 7.

Me and my son were having this same conversation this morning. Thanks for the information. We were curious how that worked just in case we get to fish a few of the tournaments. Guess we would need to worry about catching some first!!! Lol
