    Default Navionics App for I-Phone

Bought the app, and it has nothing on it for Lake Conway! Just a blue lake with no details! Anyone have any suggestions? At least I can save waypoints now I guess.

Conway is not available currently on the app. with the maps the offer today. Remember you have to purchase different maps for different regions. Also, be careful not to leave the app running, it is a battery drainer!!!!

Thanks Midsouth, I'll at least be able to mark some my condos until I get me a fishfinder unit.

Yep that's exactly what I did and now that I've got my finder with GPS I can pull up the spot on my phone and mark them on my finder. As for the blue only over at Conway.....it's just some lakes like that. Pan over to those Hot Springs lakes or even Nimrod and take a look at all the iso bars and marked stuff, pretty neat. I fish on Dequeen, Gillham, Deirks, and over on Pine Creek in OK and none of those lakes show much on my Iphone Nav. For the most part they are accurate but some area's you'll find are shallower or deeper than your phone shows but for the most part if you watch your cheaper finder while idling around in the boat on lakes that have a little bit of depth change you'll see it matches up with depth changes. Here's how I marked my spots on the phone: Dequeen 15-20' CB5. That's the lake, then depth range, then CB for crappie brush and like 5 for the 5th spot I marked, next would be number 6 and so on. I found it's easier to go back and look it up on the phone that way when you fish multiple lakes. Now my only test will be once I get the chip for my finder, that's able to read it already, can I transfer or sink all those spots straight over from the phone Nav. to the finder Nav.??? I ain't bought the chip yet though.

Thanks for the tips on naming the waypoints. I've never fished Dardenelle and it seems to have some pretty good info on it, so I think I may have to expand my territory. I plan on getting a cheap but respectable fishfinder soon. Any recommendations on a good one with a ducer I can mount on my trolling motor?

HB 581 I DI. It's not color but it is a awesome graph for the money. It has GPS, and down imaging, and a great sonar. Best investment I have made for a depth/fish finder.
Welcome to the home of the, boat eating, trolling motor busting, prop bending, lower unit smashing, stump filled mud hole called Lake Conway.

Mines the Hummingbird 587. It has about everything except side imagining. I got to try it out today for the first time and must say if your mounting it to the trolling motor you should be fine but I mounted mine to the back of the boat by drilling holes into my fiberglass boat which I didn't wanna do but everyone said it will read just fine....now it won't read once I'm up on plane and moving!!! My only hope is that once I get the Navatronics chip I can keep from running aground by using that alone without the aid if reading depth while running. It does just fine idling around though. I marked 3 piles today with it, 2 I just made and one existing one.

How are the maps that come with it, particularly the lake maps or do you have to buy those separate?I just want to make sure its got a lake Conway map, since that the place is fish the most. I don't know to much about fish finders, just know that i'm at a disadvantage without being able to whats under the water

Well it's just a map of the lake with all one color but it will show you as a little boat moving around out there and you just hit the mark button when you wanna mark a spot. SO that's all the maps it has.
