Navionics App for I-Phone

I have the Navionics on my Atrix2 and use it occasionally when I don't want to switch the humminbird to the maps. David and I were fishing the AR river above Redfield this weekend and I used it to check out some areas we hadn't fished before. Midsouth is right about it being a battery hog......don't forget to turn it off like I did, LOL!!

Yea i figured it was gonna be all blue with no help, but I thought I would ask anyway. I checked some of the map packs and they don't have Conway on them.

Thanks for the info guru. I looked at a bunch of them on the net today, and for the price, the HB 581 I DI makes perfect sense. I really like the setup of it. Now if i can figure out how to put the ducer on my trolling motor, I think I might get it.

Now thats the easy part. Run the ducer cord down your T.motor shaft with zip ties and around the head use a big hose clamp to attach it to the T.motor head. My T.motor has a little fin at the bottom which protects the ducer on my motorguide T.motor. I stuff the excess cord up under a seal between the carpet and the fiberglass of the boat right up to the unit itself. My big issue is the ducer at the back of the boat.....there's not a good place on any boat these days to mount the ducer at the back unless you epoxy the darn thing in the bottom of the boat and then your water temp isn't accurate and it's a pain to get in there to stick it without getting air bubbles that affect the accuracy.

Thanks skeet you've been a lot of help. I thought about getting a ducer to put inside te boat and remembered my boat is aluminum and Im almost certain that's would cause issues. Plus I hate dealin with wires which is why I'm going for the trolling
Motor option cause its gonna be mounted on the front anyway.

Well I will say this my buddy has a late 90's express aluminum boat that he just mounted a ducer, Hummer 587 just like mine, to the back of the boat. His only gripe now is once it shows fish it's showing them at the back of the boat not at the front where he's fishing as he's done past them. I said well you and I both know from having bass rigs the only way to stop that is to get a finder at the front and back. Back so you can run watching depth and front one to fish off of. As for the mounting of the ducer in back of his little Aluminum boat it recommends drilling the holes in the back of the boat, from outside now and attaching the ducer right at the bottom where the only thing showing its the about half the ducer. The ducer has a seam bout half way down it where you line up with the bottom of the boat. The instructions from Hummingbird show that though. It reads great for him even going near 30mph down the lake. A little bit of clutter while moving, prolly from prop distortion though and he could set his sensitivity down just a hair and live with that as he agreed. I've heard there's no way to mount and in floor setup of the ducer in an aluminum boat as it won't read through the aluminum like it will fiberglass. Good luck either way you go and glad to be of any help.

I'm gonna go with the trolling motor mount cause the finder is going to be on the front anyway. I found a feller on here that has a better price than any place ive looked around at. Problem is he is out of stock on the 581 right now, so i'm going wait on him to get some inventory and save a few bucks.

Bass I gave $417 through Digital Oasis out of FL but they are down to $387 I think now. Beware though that Digital Oasis liked to never got my credit card to go through. It was an address problem was all. I'm happy with it so far other than the fact it won't work while the boat's up on plane and running, not sure if it's an air pocket, prop wash/distortion, or even that it's outa the water which I don't think is happening. I've already drilled holes though so I'll have to get more facts before I re-mount it.
