Thread: Funny Story

I just realized I might be a lurker. I don't have a fishing report or pictures. So, I thought I might share a laugh.
Mrs DP and I love to sing. So much, we hold Sunday morning services at a local Assited living center. We were asked to sing at a funeral for a freind's mother last week. We were provided with chairs behind the podeum while the sermon was going on. Mrs DP was concerned that she may get a call during the service. After she "thought" she had put her phone on silence, she laid it in the podeum on a towell in case it started vibrating. During the minister's prayer, it started ringing. She looked at me like"Do something". I just stuck my hands up like it ain't my phone. The minister kept up with his prayer. In desparation, Mrs DP slipped up behind him on her hands and knees. She tried to reach around him, but could not reach the phone. Finally, she reached in between his legs from behind and grabbed the phone. The minister (Whom we had just met) kept up with his prayer all the while looking down between his legs to see what she was doing. She finally got the phone silent. I could hardly keep it contained during our next song. She told me she was so embarrased after the service. I told her "Ma" (the deceased)would have really loved to have been back there watching it with me. The preacher never said a word.
