I'm east of him about 50 miles. I think I'll go stand on the porch and see if I see any 2 lb. crappie flying by!!! I've about forgotten what they look like.

Well pooh. This one is a dud. Just a cold rain. Wind even stopped.

No crappie flying by, that's for sure. Dang it. I really REALLY need to touch a crappie soon.

Hard to get it to go down in mud, isn't it? Nimrod cleared up any? I haven't checked water level lately. Is it getting back down where it oughta be in the spring?
My wife keeps saying I never listen to her....... or something like that!

Why THAT lake has to be the single dadgum mostest fluctuating lake in Arkansas, I do not know. Just torques my gourd, is what it does! When it is stable, I slay 'em. When it is high, can't even get on it. And it stays high every spring till June!!! Well, except for last year, when I sat all spring with my dang arm in sling! Here I am able to go, and wham..............spring floods!

other than the wind a fella could've fished today, the rain didn't even get in SW AR til after dark this evening, course the wind blew 40MPH all day long. I would've wanted to fished along a steep South wall someplace or just stayed home like I did. I bet there was 5-7' swells in many places on the lakes today.
