Default Dardanelle today: New jig on the block!

Went to Dardanelle this afternoon to try out a new jig I added to my arsenal about two weeks ago. Got to try it and some minners for about an hour last Wednesday and it was Bam! Bam! Bam! Fishing a double minner rig in one hand and a double jig rig in the other with an orange and chartreuse jig on top and the new "Silver Fox" Slick Jig on the bottom. Caught 7 straight fish in about 20 to 25 minutes, 6 of them on the Silver Fox and one on a minner! I ain't getting into the "minners vs. jigs" deal, but I had two live minners 6 feet from the two jigs and caught 6 out of 7 on the fox! Just sayin'...... at least at that time and in that place! Anyway, started fishing about 1:30 p.m. and after spending about and hour and a half looking for fish in some places I thought ought to hold fish, which they didn't, I headed to another place to turn around and fish into the wind back toward the truck. Got there and shut down and ran into a really, really nice feller who was just leaving because of the wind. You would know him as Rtark. In a genuine act of kindness and friendship, Ray invited me to fish in his spot. About that time the wind died and he decided to stay and fish awhile longer during which time we both caught good fish, him more and better than me! He left after about 45 minutes or an hour, and some good visiting, and I stayed on till about dark-thirty! Wound up keeping 14 pretty good fish, throwing several back. Ray, I really enjoyed meeting you on the water today and look forward to seeing you again, and maybe even fishing with you sometime. Let me know how you do on those "Silver Foxes" I gave you. Guys, I'm not real good at this crappie fishing, don't claim to be, so I need every advantage I can get. I'm tellin' you, if you don't have some of these in your arsenal, you oughta pm Creekslick and have him tie you up some! I was fishing the 1/8th both days but ordered some 1/16th also. They are the real deal!!

They are not on my website yet but will be after this weekend. My website designer (aka oldest son) will be at my house this weekend to help me get a bunch of new stuff uploaded to the site. Glad they did the job for you ski.
