Default A tale of two lakes

My wife and I made a road trip the past couple of days. We left Fayetteville early Tuesday morning and drove to Conway - went to Baits Field and Stream - bought jig heads, skirts, and a new Ozark rod. Now on to fishing - went to Gold Creek - we jigged structure in deeper water - corked around the bank and grass lines - dragged and trolled for a whopping 2 crappie. Oh, by the way did I say it was cold. On to Russellville Tuesday night - ate at Brown's Catfish - it was very good. Stayed in Russellville - started fishing Lake Dardanelle Wednesday morning - water was stained but not bad muddy - the fish did cooperate better than the day before. We fished water from 25 to 40 foot deep and caught them anywhere from 25 to 40 foot deep. Brought home 27 keepers - all and all good trip. Sorry forgot to make pics.

I stayed my butt off the water and built a few hotels to drop next week. That wind was just to chilly.
