Well a guy I go to church with has heard about it and was telling me and dad in Walmart the other night after I'd mentioned cutting bigger cane into 6' lengths or so and driving them down into normally say 12' of water that's 6' low where they are about water level and around 6' under once the lakes at normal and how it would make excellent spring fishing. He then mentioned the cane fence so I don't know if it works or not. I do think next time lakes get low again I may saw some bigger canes up and make a bed like I was talking about on local waters, maybe leave 16" to a couple of feet in between them once you drive them down.
