I'd suggest doing a search on here for crappie fishing with lights or under lights and see what that gets you. I expect you can find several threads where that topic is discussed.

hot summer nights work best in clear lakes ,,,takes a good hour for any action to really get started ,,first the bugs come in and fall into the water then minnows and baitfish which normally draw in the predator fish
also use bait similiar to what you see
