    Default Beaver Lake Crappie

    Name: fishing on beaver (2).jpg
Views: 1513
Size: 72.6 KBMy wife and I moved to Fayetteville about 3 months ago and have been fishing Beaver Lake quite a bit. I thought recently that there wasn't much crappie.com activity in NWA. Then I saw LRJOES recent post and decided it was time to chime in. I guess it is kind of like complaining about elected officials if you don't vote. I have already voted so here is a post. Up until about a month ago we were catching fish in 2 to 6 foot of water. However when the water temps went below 47 degrees they went deeper. This past Saturday we fished until noon and caught most of the fish vertical jigging in 13 -17 fow. Shown is a pic of one of the better fish from Saturday - 15 1/2 inches. (They are not all that big in this part of the country, however, the cold water crappie make for some good eating)

Welcome to the site, man. Good looking fish you're holding up there! You ought to hook up with LRJoe who recently moved up there. There may be other Crappie.commers up there too. I know there's a lot of them in Southwest Missouri cause I see them on here from time to time. Anyway, welcome!
