    Ouachita???? Good luck with that one, you may need it! I've never tried to cut holes out in the cedars but it makes sense. I always either sunk them in a circle so I could fish down in between them or just tried to fish over them to keep from getting hung up so much.

    To make good Crappie cover , even the biologist recommend cover have 8'' min spacing for Crappie. Those Spruce and Pines would be better without the needles. They work much better with room for the fish to swim through .

    Should work !! Post pics of the drop, and of the results (fish) that come off the drop !! Will you sink all of those laying horizontal on the bottom or stand a few up like a boo pot ? Good luck, hope the hard work pays off.
