Hail all from Team Tsunami,
Thanks to Cori, Casey and Toni Mae for helping collect Christmas Trees. We have 55 trees in the yard....woooot. We hope to start sinking them very soon. I need to fix our Party Bardge "Tsunami 1" to aid in the sinking projects. it will be prety slow with just the "The Ugle Stick".

Well not sure about the pine but the cedar tree's have been used for a long time. Many an old crappie fisherman will say to use cedar tree's or the cane/boo. I told dad tonight we could go squirrel hunting/pull a couple of deer stands early Saturday morning then buy a couple sacks of quick-crete and make some structure in the back yard.
Hey Fetmo - Its good to hear from you. You have a big job in front of you. I use Christmas trees also because they are free. I have found that if you cut the rope of of them and let them dry out a few weeks and let some of the needles fall off they sink better. Also take a chain saw trim a 2' space in the middle of the tree all the way around the tree you will have space for the fish to hide. Good luck

And be sure to shoot Nimrod the coordinates when you're done so he don't have to get hung up on your rotten-no fish holding-christmas trees.
I've always heard that it's best to let them dry out, flash burn them to get rid of the needles, trim out some holes like Billy said, then sink em!
They will hold fish, most of them just won't last as long since they're not cedar.

I am actually thinking of sinking all of them in my favorite Hump in Lake Ouachita....from bout 15 - 30 fow. they will sure hold an array of fish. I will make on Heck of spear fishing spot....Wooot.
