12/30 Crappie Trip

Help me out here... Did you fish today ? How was the bite ? I fished 4-5 hours today from around 9 until around 2 and NEVER got bit one time !! Curious to see if it's just me or if this high pressure (at or above 30.5 most of the time I was on the water) affected everyone's trips today !

Glad to hear it wasnt just me today !! just one small one ,talked to a guy at the ramp he had about 20 caught em on salt and pepper . The one jig i didnt try lol...

I'm not a big beliver in specific colors but more presentation. You got to get the bait where the fish are.

Meatgetter, I think what I needed was Spanky !! I tried minners, tubes, stingers, and even a maribou jig..... Nothing !! I just couldn't get bit today !!

Caught 10 today fishing about 30 fow. Hair jigs electric chicken and gray ghost. Was a bit cool this morn. Fishing Morgan Point.

Good job Jammer, I'd have been tickled with 10 !! And you must be a lot tougher than I, cause in my book, this morning was downright cold !! I consider 40-45 degrees to be cool, I was knee-knocking out there today !!

What Jerry said... and deep, deep, deep. compared to the average depth of the area your fishing. Find the deep water when the weather turns bad cold.
